By accessing or using LegalCity ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LegalCity is a platform that connects individuals seeking legal representation with verified attorneys across the United States. We provide attorney search, profile verification, communication tools, and AI-powered legal workflow tools including client relationship management, contract review, NDA triage, compliance analysis, lead scoring, and case management. LegalCity does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Attorney Profiles

Attorney profiles on LegalCity are compiled from public records and verified data sources. Attorneys may claim and verify their profiles. LegalCity does not guarantee the accuracy of attorney information and users should independently verify credentials before engaging legal services.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data without permission
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content

6. AI-Powered Features

LegalCity incorporates artificial intelligence ("AI") technologies to provide enhanced legal workflow tools to attorney users, including but not limited to:

  • AI Lead Scoring: Automated scoring and prioritization of potential client leads based on case details
  • AI Contract Review: Automated clause-by-clause analysis of contracts with risk flagging and suggestions
  • AI NDA Triage: Pre-screening of non-disclosure agreements for standard approval, counsel review, or full review
  • AI Compliance Check: Regulatory compliance analysis based on practice area and jurisdiction
  • AI Case Analysis: Automated analysis of case data including risk assessments and recommendations
  • AI Follow-Up Suggestions: Automated generation of suggested client communications
  • Smart Intake Forms: AI-analyzed client intake submissions with automatic lead creation

Important: AI-generated outputs are provided as informational aids only and do NOT constitute legal advice, legal opinion, or legal representation. All AI outputs must be independently reviewed, verified, and approved by a licensed attorney before being relied upon or communicated to clients. LegalCity makes no representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of any AI-generated content.

7. AI Data Processing & Consent

By using our AI-powered features, you expressly consent to the following:

  • Documents, contracts, NDAs, case descriptions, and other content you submit may be processed by our AI systems to provide the requested analysis and features
  • Intake form submissions from prospective clients will be analyzed by AI to generate insights, scoring, and lead classifications
  • AI analysis results (summaries, scores, risk assessments) will be stored alongside your case and lead records
  • Your data is processed solely for the purpose of providing LegalCity's features and is not used to train external AI models or shared with third parties for AI training purposes

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and authorizations to submit content for AI processing, including any required client consents. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of AI features complies with all applicable professional responsibility rules, ethical obligations, and client confidentiality requirements.

8. AI Limitations & Disclaimers

AI-powered features are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Specifically:

  • AI analysis may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and should never be relied upon as the sole basis for legal decisions
  • LegalCity is not liable for any actions taken or not taken based on AI-generated content, including contract review findings, NDA triage recommendations, and compliance assessments
  • AI features may not account for recent legal changes, jurisdictional nuances, or case-specific factors
  • Users must exercise independent professional judgment when using any AI-generated outputs
  • The use of AI tools does not create an attorney-client relationship between LegalCity and any party

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by LegalCity and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

LegalCity is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. LegalCity is not responsible for the quality of legal services provided by attorneys found through our platform. Without limiting the foregoing, LegalCity expressly disclaims liability for any losses, damages, or adverse outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated analysis, recommendations, or content produced by the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms of Service or for any other reason at our discretion.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
